The strains assimilated D-glucose, D-galactose, sucrose, maltose, lactose, sorbose, cellobiose, trehalose, rafinose, melezitose, D-xylose, ethanol, D-glicerol, D-glucoronate, nitrite. None of them utilized methanol and cadaverine. Strain AL114 was non- fermentative and did not hydrolize arbutin. Strain AL118 weakly fermented D-glucose and hydrolyzed arbutin. Neither strain produced acid or grew on vitamin-free media.
